About Dawn

Dawn Judkins is an artist, Reiki practitioner, and intuitive guide whose work centers on creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and deeply supported. Whether someone encounters Dawn through her art or through her healing work, her intention is the same -- to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where people can exhale, soften, and trust that they are in caring, capable hands.

Dawn’s path began with art, but it was through the act of creating that she came to recognize the spiritual dimension of her work. While completing her final painting before graduating art school -- a large-scale oil painting that took over a month to complete -- she experienced a profound sense of presence and immersion. As she worked with color, texture, and movement, the outside world seemed to fall away. When the piece was finished, she felt a deep sense of euphoria and completion. It was at that moment she realized that art and spirituality are inseparable -- that art is a way of moving what lives in the heart outward into form, color, and expression.

Color plays a central role in Dawn’s work. She experiences color as emotional language -- a way of understanding inner states that words often can’t reach. Her relationship with materials evolved over time, leading her to oil paints for their richness, fluidity, and forgiving nature. Oils allow space for experimentation, correction, and intuition, reinforcing her belief that art is not about perfection or realism, but interpretation and feeling. In her teaching, Dawn often reminds students that nothing in painting is fixed -- everything is a suggestion, an invitation to respond rather than control.

Alongside her art practice, Dawn works with Reiki and intuitive energy awareness. As she reactivated her Reiki practice and deepened her mediumship training, she found herself increasingly attuned to the body’s energetic language. When working with clients, she listens closely -- sensing where energy is blocked, where it wants to move, and what the body is communicating. Her work is rhythmic, grounded, and responsive, guided by both intuition and presence.

Over the past decade, Dawn has engaged in deep personal inquiry -- exploring who she is beyond roles such as daughter, wife, mother, or caregiver. Through this process, she has learned to listen to her higher self and honor her own needs, desires, and fulfillment. Her early life experiences shaped a heightened sensitivity to energy, which, with training and practice, has become one of her greatest strengths -- allowing her to perceive, interpret, and gently reflect what others may already sense within themselves.

Dawn’s work often leads clients to quiet but powerful “aha” moments -- moments of validation, self-recognition, and permission. Rather than directing or fixing, she offers insight that helps people trust what they already know, reconnect with their sense of self, and recognize that they are not broken or diminished -- simply evolving.

Art, for Dawn, is a practice rather than a performance. She emphasizes that no prior experience is needed and that creating is a process of exploration, not mastery. Whether through mindful doodling, drawing, or painting, her work invites people to engage their intuition, strengthen the mind–body connection, and discover their own creative voice at their own pace.

At its core, Dawn’s work is an invitation -- to explore yourself, to listen more deeply, and to remember that healing, creativity, and self-trust are already within reach.
